Orlando Airports

There are three airports that serve the Orlando area: Orlando International Airport, Orlando Sanford International Airport and Orlando Executive Airport. The location of these airports is illustrated in the map below:

Orlando International Airport

Orlando International Airport is located 7 miles (11 km) to the southeast of the centre of Orlando and around 20 miles (32 km) by road to the east of Disney World.

Considered to be Orlando's primary airport, Orlando International Airport is the busiest of the airports serving Orlando, with on average around 550 flights both arriving and departing each day. The majority of these, around 90%, are to or from other airports within the US; however there are a number of airlines that fly direct to Orlando from various major airports located in Europe.

Orlando Sanford International Airport

Orlando Sanford International Airport is located 18 miles (29 km) to the northeast of Orlando and is operated through a public/private partnership and has a number of daily scheduled and charter flights from Europe and within the US. Many holiday tour operators make use of this airport for their chartered flights. There are on average around 20 flights into Orlando Sanford International Airport each day.

Orlando Executive Airport

Situated 3 miles (5 km) to the east of the centre of Orlando, this airport was Orlando's first commercial airport but has since been replaced as Orlando's main airport by Orlando Intenational Airport and these days caters mainly for small private aircraft and internal US business travel.
